The hospital was established and run by Sankara Health, Education & Charitable Trust, Pammal through donations. Construction of a 30 bed in-patient hospital was started in central location in 1998 at Anna Salai, Pammal. Rotarian B.P. Jain, F.C.A., donated 40% cost of the project. The hospital was, therefore, named as B.P. Jain Hospital and started functioning since 2001. More than 20 lakh out-patient, 45000 in-patient and 8500 surgeries have been carried out so far successfully. People of Pammal, Pozhichalur, Pallavaram, Anakaputhur, Thiruneermalai and border villages/towns are benefitted by this Hospital.
